Today in health we learned why smokers found it hard to breathe.
What are the main functions of your lungs?
The main functions are breathing in and out and filtering out the dust. Pumping oxygen to the rest of the body. When you smoke you are filtering out the bad chemicals and making your lungs harder to function.
What color is a healthy lung?
The colors for a healthy lung is pink and red.
What color is an unhealthy lung?
An unhealthy lung is black and orange.

We also created a google drawing to show the different effects for the different walls in Hauora.

quiche

Today Pepe and I made quiche for food tech with Ms Tuipolotu . The skills for the week was 1. Follow the instruction step. Step 2. How to read the ingredients, and Step 3. How to measure the ingredients correctly.
The steps of making quiche.
Step 1. Cut the pastry into 12 circles.
Step 2. Dice the ham
Step 3. Whisk 4 eggs and milk together in a small bowl
Step 3. Put into the muffin tray.
Step 4. Add Ham, and cheese and top up with the egg and milk!
And this was the end result

Burger bun

Today 22nd of May me and friend made burger bun's for the first step of our process of making a burger bun

Latonio was the one that went up to get all of the ingredients

the process took one period to make two buns. the process went like this 

1 1/2 cup of plain flour 

1 packet of yeast 

1/2 cup of warm water 

2 tbs of sugar

1/2 tsp of salt

1/2 cup of oil 

1 egg

and then you just have to mix it together then put it in the oven and then leave it for 30 mins but keep an eye on it if it is brown take it out and that.

Food Tech Hot cakes

Today Levi G. and Pepe and I Was cooking Hot Cakes. First, we Need to learn how to read the Ingredients then Get all the equipment Used for the process. Next, we had to get 1/2 cup of sugar, 1 cup of milk 1 1/2 cup of flour and 1 egg.

After that, we mixed all our ingredients in the bowl and put the mix in the pan. we made 2 equal sizes of hot cakes. but it was hard trying to make a perfect circle.

Maths

What do you already know about our number topic? The number topic that I'm good at is l fractions level 3 work but I do know some level 4 maths work. What level do you think you are at currently? Why? I think level 3 will that's what I think and the reason why is it just bad at maths What are you looking forward to learning about our number topic? will I don't really know but I think the on that looking forward is solved problems involving rates and ratios. What are your school/achievement goals for this topic? Why? will the goal for me is to be level 10 or level 5 that's good too and why I what to be level 10 so that I know what I'm doing.
